Tru-Cool 40K Transmission Cooler Comparison
As many of you have probably heard by now Dana discontinued the Tru-Cool 40K transmission cooler (LPD47391) that was made in Canada.
So we are now left with aftermarket options and a copy that is made in China.
Here are some side by side comparison pictures and info.
Long story short they are all almost identical. If you are looking closely the Derale is probably the closest to the original Tru-Cool 40K. The Mishimoto uses o-ring fittings and has a lifetime warranty. The Mishimoto core is about .25" shorter but still had 13 rows.

If you are buying a Tru-Cool 40K today this is what we are offering. There are some cheaper "brown box" options on Amazon but these ones are the best we have found that carry the Tru-Cool name.

Mishimoto 40K Universal 13-Row Stacked Plate Transmission Cooler
The Mishimoto version of the 40K cooler is also a great option. Instead of the inverted seat connections on the Tru-Cool the Mishimoto uses o-ring sealed fittings. Mishimoto also carries a Lifetime Warranty.

Derale 40K 13 Row Series 9500 Plate & Fin Transmission Cooler Kit
Derale has been in the cooling game for a long time and they make great products. This cooler is pretty darn close to the original Tru-Cool 40k. This one has a 1 Year warranty.
